A Roaring Boy
A boy in transition. A body in revolt. A choice that could make or break him.
Robert Gough is the star boy player in Shakespeare’s company, famous for playing women onstage. But as his voice deepens and his time in female roles ends, he faces a crisis that no costume change can fix. Cast toward manhood and male parts he doesn’t want, Robert faces a dangerous question: who gets to decide who he becomes?
When he encounters a notorious pickpocket, Robert is pulled into a world beyond the law. Here, gender isn’t performance, it’s rebellion. The stage gives way to the street, desire blurs into danger, and Robert is forced to decide who he is when the applause ends.
